Autism and Learning Disabilities Tier 2
This full day of training aims to provide those attending to gain the knowledge and skills required to provide safe, compassionate and informed care to those living with autism and learning disabilities. All CQC registered service providers must ensure that all those staff working within Health and Social Care where their service is providing care and support or facilitating access to care are completing this training regardless of their position within their organisation.
Please note, this is NOT the official Oliver McGowan Course but my course has been created using the same framework. The only difference is I do not have someone with a Learning Disability or someone with Autism co-delivering with me. I am however able to deliver this training as someone with experience of managing a supported living care service for adults with learning disabilities including service users with autism, as well as having taught and continuing to teach many individuals with special educational needs, learning disabilities and autism as a qualified teacher. I also have personal experience as my daughter is currently undiagnosed (going through the assessment process) with Autism and ADHD.
